Directions

The Porter County Museum is located in downtown Valparaiso, Indiana, at the intersection of Franklin Street and Indiana Avenue on the southeast corner the courthouse square.

From Indiana 49, exit at Route 2. Follow LaPorte Avenue west to the round-about and continue onto Lincolnway. Turn left onto Michigan Avenue and right onto Indiana Avenue. Both museum sites are located at the intersection of Indiana Avenue and Franklin Street.

From Route 30, turn onto Washington Street headed north. Follow Washington Street over the Pennsylvania Railroad tracks and make a right onto Monroe Street. Turn left onto Franklin Street and continue north. Both sites are located at the intersection of Indiana Avenue and Franklin Street in downtown Valparaiso.


Parking

A public parking lot is conveniently located one block east of the PoCo Muse at Indiana and Michigan Avenues. Accessible parking is also available on the street, but is subject to a time limit and possible fine.

Pay close attention to signage, as street parking is designated with two and three hour time limits. If you exceed the time limit, you will likely be fined. At times, the downtown is host to a variety of other activities, which can affect traffic and parking.
