Volunteers

The 2019 Historical Valparaiso Home Tour is one of the most highly anticipated PoCo Muse events of the year, and we couldn’t pull it off without the support of our volunteers.

The PoCo Muse is currently looking for volunteers to serve as museum greeters, home greeters, and docents. (No prior knowledge of history is required!) Volunteers can choose from a morning or afternoon volunteer shift, and the Museum staff will hold a brief orientation 30 minutes prior to each shift at the PoCo Muse (153 S Franklin Street).

  • Each Volunteer receives:

    • 1 Complimentary Home Tour Ticket

    • Free Home Tour t-shirt

    • Invitation to the Home Tour Reception at 5p

Volunteer Shifts

We ask that Volunteers work one 4-hour shift after attending a brief 30-minute orientation held immediately prior to their shift at the PoCo Muse.

  • Morning Shift: 9:00a to 1:00p

  • Afternoon Shift: 1:00p to 5:00p

  • Reception: 5:00 to 7:30p (optional)

  • ** Please meet 30 minutes prior to your shift at the PoCo Muse (153 S Franklin Street) for a brief orientation.
