Explore the history of downtown Valparaiso on a guided walk around the Porter County Courthouse Square with PoCo Muse Executive Director Kevin Pazour on Saturday, October 17, at 2pm.

Discover stories behind the square’s buildings and the people and events that have shaped this familiar gathering place. From shopping at Lowenstine’s Department Store to public celebrations, gatherings, fires, and everything in between, the tour will explore the square’s place in community life.

Participants are encouraged to share their own memories along the way. Whether you’re a longtime resident, a newcomer, or a visitor, your questions and recollections can add to our understanding of local history.

Meet in front of PoCo Muse at 20 Indiana Avenue, at the corner of Franklin Street and Indiana Avenue. The walk lasts approximately one hour and is free and family friendly. No reservations are necessary.
