Long before social media, there were artists, writers, and filmmakers who helped shape the way people saw—and ultimately worked to preserve—the Indiana Dunes.

Join Suzanne Goldstein Baker on Thursday, September 3, at 1pm inside Pines Village Retirement Communities for Art, History, & Film Intersect at the Indiana Dunes, an illustrated presentation exploring the creative figures who became the “influencers” of their day. Through paintings, literature, and film, these artists helped build public appreciation for the Dunes and supported efforts that led to the creation of Indiana Dunes State Park and Indiana Dunes National Park.

Featuring images and artwork by Frank V. Dudley, Vin and Hazel Hannell, and other local artists inspired by the Indiana Dunes, the program offers a fascinating look at the intersection of creativity, conservation, and local history.
